Wilderness dunes resort

Wilderness Dunes has it all. On perhaps the most spectacular stretch of the famous Garden Route, this exclusive vacation ownership resort has direct access to the beach and is set against a backdrop of shining lakes and forests sweeping towards the slopes of the Outeniqua Mountains.

This beachfront resort, situated on the dunes of Wilderness near George, in the Western Cape has been designed to ensure minimal disturbance to the rich indigenous fynbos. The comfortable chalets at Wilderness Dunes are exquisitely furnished and designed for trouble-free self-catering holidays.

Deep-sea, rock and surf fishermen - reach for your lines. Hikers - pack your rucksacks for trails across mountains, gorges and rivers. There's golf, tennis, swimming, watersports, horse-riding and cycling. Plus long stretches of unpolluted beach on which to stroll, stretch out - and unwind.

The George airport is only 15 minutes away - and a picturesque steam train travels daily in both directions between George and Knysna.

Interior Design and Furnishing
Investors can utilise the Developers approved interior design service, who will tailor their homes to taste. Owners wishing to participate in the resort rental pool scheme are required to use the interior design team to furnish their home. The units are comfortably equipped with a sun deck and braai area.

Property Structure
Investors buying a home at Wilderness dunes acquire them on Shareblock basis. Timeshare is also sold on a share block basis.
The detail of the rights and obligations of all of the various types of owners is contained in the Memorandum and Articles of Association and the management and conduct rules of the Use Agreement of the Share block Company .

The Homeowners Association
Shareblock
Timeshare and whole ownership are sold on a share block basis. Owners acquire shares in the company (Wilderness dunes share Block Limited). By virtue of the ownership of those shares, the owners are allowed to use specified portions of the Company's property.
A share certificate is issued in the owner's name when the agreement is concluded. This share certificate is proof of ownership and right to use the Company's property.
Shareblock a secure investment
Share block ownership at Wilderness dunes is secure, as the property is not bonded.

Managing agent
Legacy Hotel Management Services are the Managing Agents of the Share Block of Wilderness Dunes. Their duties entail inter alia management of front office, reservations, rooms and housekeeping, grounds maintenance, preparation of the levy budget and collection of levies, company secretarial functions, insurance, all accounting functions and control and marketing of the rental pool.
Annual general meeting
Annual General Meetings are held at which members are entitled to vote directors onto the board to represent their interests. The Directors meet during the year to discuss the management of the property, levy budgets and any other issues, which need to be addressed during the course of the year.

Levy
As an owner at Wilderness Dunes, you will be responsible for payment of a levy.
The Managing Agent prepares a detailed levy budget each year for the directors of the Shareblock company to approve. All owners at Wilderness dunes are compelled to pay levies. Timeshare owners have to pay their levies annually in advance and whole owners pay monthly in advance.
Wholeowners levies do not include the cost of daily servicing of the units. This is separate service, which can be arranged with housekeeping for a fee.

Reception procedure
Clients must advise reception before hand of their intention to occupy and provide names of incoming guests in order to ensure smooth check-in procedures.
On arrival the guest will be asked to sign an Inventory and Maintenance Schedule, which will detail the household contents and the overall condition of your unit.
