Delegates attending the HICA 2009 conference have global networking opportunities
Date: 30/10/2009Article source: hippocommunications.com
The third annual, Hospitality Investment Conference Africa (HICA) due to take place from 4-6 November at the Sandton Sun hotel, is modeled on the success and interest of various international hospitality investment conferences.
The Arabian Hotel Investment Conference (AHIC) is one such event, which has been a catalyst and important networking platform, stimulating economic growth in this region. Like most hotel investment conferences, AHIC has an advisory board where some of the top 40 global leaders in hospitality investment, guide and shape the content for the conference. This year AHIC was attended by some 750 delegates, a clear indication that there is still keen interest for investment within the Saudi region. Many of the delegates and speakers, who have previously presented at AHIC, are due to be at HICA and for those looking to expand their operations there will be networking opportunities here as well.
From 25 - 27 October, Russia hosted the Russia & CIS Hotel Investment Conference (RHIC) 2009 and the theme for this year was around driving profits in challenging times in a similar vein to HICA whose theme is that of “Increasing Opportunities for Growth”.
One of the main highlights for RHIC was presenting various opportunities around key airports to the Russian investment community and its advisory board lined up an impressive speaker list for this emerging tourism destination. This was also RHIC’s third annual conference which has shown increased interest and growth despite the global financial challenges. The International Hotel Investment Forum (IHIF) has concluded its twelfth annual conference in Berlin this year and provides a more global networking forum for investors to meet and for investment opportunities to be showcased. This year more than 1500 people converged at the venue and post conference reporting showed that it was not only the quantity of people, but more importantly the quality of delegates and speakers that was rated highly. Like IHIF, the Hospitality Investment Conference Africa will gather top executives and decision makers in one room to broker deals and explore available investment options in Africa at the highest level.
In addition there are other regions looking for increased investment who also host similar conferences – the Hotel Investment Conference Asia-Pacific (HICAP); the Canadian Hotel Investment Conference (CHIC); the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Investment Conference (CHTIC) for example. Global knowledge sharing and networking is the core trend. What is clear is that conferences around the world on hospitality investment are proving to be worthwhile events for high level networking, understanding growth and investment opportunities, and to shape and report on world trends.
HICA is no exception. For those who have not yet registered for this conference, log onto www.hica.co.za and book your place now. Alternatively you can contact Zelda Coetzee on 021 762 1442 to book your place.
